I Am Charlotte Doyle

By Alexis Fletcher

I am Charlotte Doyle.

I am nice and curious.

I wonder if I will live.

I hear the sound of the waves.

I see the ship’s deck.

I want to be part of the crew.

I am nice and curious.

I pretend to hug my parents.

I feel my parents arms.

I touch the sea gull’s wings.

I worry about if we will shipwreck.

I cry because I am homesick.

I am nice and curious.

I understand that Cranick is dead.

I say that I am a crew member!

I dream that there will be a storm.

I try to not get hanged.

I hope that I will get home safe.

I am nice and curious.

No More Field Trips!!!
Posted on December 3rd, 2008 at 6:13 pm by and tagged

We may have no more field trips.  On Monday, Mrs. Brunelle told our whole class there might not be any more field trips due to the budget cuts.  Mrs. Brunelle said that chorus wouldn’t be affected by the cuts.  On Wednesday, Mrs. Baker told us that we might not be going to Hannaford or the nursing home.  Instead we might have to sing for pre-schoolers.
